Finding the right vacuum cleaner isn’t an easy task with so many products to consider – there isn’t the right model for everyone. If you’re in the market for a lightweight cleaner that’s great for daily chores and everyday tasks the Tineco A10 Hero might not be the first name that comes to mind, but it’s one that should definitely be on your radar.
It’s a cordless, upright stick vacuum rated at 350 watts with surprisingly powerful suction at one of the best prices you’ll find on Amazon for a product in its category. The A10 Hero is ideal for homes with lots of hardwood, laminate or short pile carpeting.
Spotless Mag took a closer look at this vacuum and all of its main features in our detailed review below.
Vacuum Type – A10 Hero
The A10 Hero is a lightweight stick vacuum ideal for use on hardwood, laminate and short pile carpet. It isn’t meant for use on a thick carpet, as its cordless battery just doesn’t provide the same kind of power you get from a more traditional plug-in model. It uses a detachable lithium-ion battery as its power source, which lasts about 25 minutes per charge with normal use.
The A10 has a User-Friendly Design
One of the most important considerations when choosing a vacuum cleaner is whether or not it’s easy to use. In this area the A10 does well – it has a user-friendly design that makes daily household cleaning a little less taxing. In Spotless Mag’s Best Stick Vacuums 2020 Buying Guide, we looked at a number of this machine’s competitors and it holds its own nicely against all of them.
This is a lightweight product at just over 5 pounds with the brush and wand attached. That makes it simple to maneuver your way around obstacles and easy to get into hard to reach areas – you won’t have to worry about dust bunnies collecting in the corner because you can’t get at them with a traditional vacuum cleaner. It also comes with a mini power brush crevice tool for these situations.
The A10 Hero has LED headlights to help navigate your way around rooms as well. This is ideal for basements and darker areas where the lighting isn’t always as good as it should be.
In our review, we were happy to find that the on/off trigger can be operated with 1 finger and it’s located on the main handle so you can reach it easily whenever needed. If you need a little extra boost of power the max mode can be activated by pressing the button on the top of the motor housing. Everything is intuitive and easy to find.

Performance of the A10 Hero
Surprising suction – The 350 watt Tineco A10 Hero with a brushless motor has a surprising amount of suction for one of the lowest-priced stick vacuums on Amazon. The motor-powered floor brush that comes with the A10 features ¼ inch soft bristles for collecting dust and fine particles on laminate and hardwood. It also has a set of 5/6 inch bristles for digging deeper to capture particles on the carpet. This cordless vacuum is also ultra-quiet when it’s in operation so it won’t bother people and pets in the home.
Handles Pet Hair – For a cordless stick vacuum cleaner, it does a good job of handling short and medium-length pet hair as well. Longer pet hair is a bit more of a challenge though, mainly because the dustbin that collects dirt isn’t designed to handle a lot of debris – it has a 0.4-liter capacity. It’s a small container, so you may have to empty it more than once, which can be a pain.
HEPA Filtration – While you can visibly see the A10 collecting pet hair, what you won’t see is how well it does at cleaning up pet dander. These tiny particles are one of the main causes of allergies in many homes, so this is a nice feature to have. It does such a great job with pet dander because it’s equipped with a HEPA filtration system. HEPA filters capture up to 99.9 percent of all particles they come in contact with.
No Leakage – The filter on this Tineco vacuum cleaner locks in unwanted particles with virtually no leakage. The only thing coming out of the vacuum is clean breathable air. The filters are easy to clean, but they should be replaced every few months. Replacement filters, brushes, and other accessories are available on Amazon here.
Durability and Ruggedness of Design of the Tineco A10
In our Tineco A10 review, we were impressed with its ruggedness and durability. For an affordable cordless vacuum cleaner, this machine is built to last. The main body is made from an injection mold process and all parts fit together seamlessly. Its main tube or wand is cast from anodized aluminum and Tineco backs everything up with a 2-year warranty on parts, as well as a 5-year warranty on the motor.
